Spice n Advice was born out of a love for authentic handmade food. Melody Pointon had spent over 15 years cooking food for friends and family, specialising in authentic foods from around the world including Indian, Thai, Chinese, Mexican, Spanish, Moroccan and many other exciting dishes.
Friends and family insisted that they should turn their love of food into a business and so the couple formed a company under the name of Cop Cuisine, (named after the village of Mow Cop, where they lived and produced their products).
Cop Cuisine specialised in Authentic Indian cuisine and produced a wide range of ready-made curry sauces for customers to add their preferred meat or vegetables to. A 10 minute curry but with a taste reflecting all the authenticity of a handmade meal.
Cop Cuisine sauces were an instant hit, being sold at local farmers markets and delicatessens.
David & Melody then began to attend larger one-off Food Festivals further a field and it soon became apparent that these new customers wanted to repeat the experience but were denied the opportunity due to the cost of mailing such heavy items and the distance for them to travel to Cop Cuisines local markets.
With this in mind it was decided that an online service needed to be explored and a survey of Cop Cuisine customers was carried out to establish what prevented people from creating their own authentic food.
TWO MAIN REASONS WHY WE WERE FORMED
It was clear that there were two main reasons:

Sourcing of the difficult spices, herbs and seasonings.
It is for these two reasons that Spice n Advice was formed.
Spice n Advice is your One – Stop – Shop for all the spices, herbs and seasonings you need to be able to create your own exciting authentic food from around the world, without the need for your precious cupboard space to be filled with a plethora of ingredients that begin to go stale the first time you use them.
